COVENANT COMMITMENT

In the RiverTree family of churches, covenant partnership is the way we describe what it means for us to live out our common mission together as the family of God.  Our covenant with Christ brings us into the family of God, and our partnership with one another is how we fulfill the commission of God together in every place we live, work, and play.  Each church has its local expression of what it means to be “all in” and live as a disciple of Jesus on mission together.

At RiverTree Massillon, YOU ARE MADE FOR MORE.

RiverTree Massillon is a church that refuses to settle for a shallow life. We are hungry to experience more and more of the life Jesus died to give us. We believe that God is moving in every person’s life, and we want to come alongside you to help propel you into more. We are on mission to lead people to discover and deepen more in Jesus. RiverTree Massillon is a people pursuing more life in a relationship with Jesus, more belonging in the people of Jesus and more purpose in the mission of Jesus.

Covenant Partnership at RiverTree Massillon is our commitment to one another as a family on mission. Having committed myself to Jesus as Lord, I feel led by the Holy Spirit to unite on with the RiverTree Massillon family. In doing so, I commit myself to the following:

1. I will pursue more life in a relationship with Jesus by:

Getting baptized, learning to walk in step with the Spirit daily, experiencing and expressing God’s love daily, and
    attending RiverTree Massillon faithfully.

(Heb. 10:25; Mk. 12:30-21; Phil. 1:27; Gal. 5:16-23)

2. I will pursue more belonging in the people of Jesus by:

Sharing life with the people of Jesus, giving generously toward the mission of God’s family, praying for its growth,
and using my gifts to serve the body.

(1 Cor 16:2; Lev. 27:30; 1 Thess. 1:1-2; Rom. 15:7; 1 Peter 4:10-11)

3. I will pursue more purpose in the mission of Jesus by:

Sharing my faith regularly, discovering my gifts, passions, and story in order to walk into my calling, and being
equipped to serve in ministry by my pastors.

(Matt. 28:16-20; Eph. 4:11-16)
